Interest In Canadian Immigration Remains High: Study

 A recent survey of more than 13,000 potential immigrants reveals that interest in immigrating to Canada is still high.


World Education Services (WES) Canada, a recognized provider of Educational Credential Assessments (ECA) for Canadian immigration, carried out the survey.


In order to better understand how the coronavirus pandemic was affecting people's plans to immigrate to Canada, WES conducted a survey in 2020 among those who had submitted an ECA application.


WES conducted the survey again in August 2021 to compare results and determine whether the changing pandemic context had an effect on respondents' reasons for wanting to immigrate to Canada.


According to WES data, respondents' interest in immigrating to Canada has not decreased since 2020. The majority of respondents—nearly 52%—said the pandemic would not affect their immigration plans.
